SEASIDE BLUES

THEN-

Queen of castles made of sand,
Sea shells secure in my hand,
The first time I met the sea,
Such a playful thing was she!

Every time a wave came up,
In loving arms he swung me up,
And beaming like the sun, said
"My little one,soar up high,
Like an eagle in the sky!

Solid as a rock he stood,
 Stormy waters we withstood,
 The tide receded in defeat,
Not a ripple touched my feet !

    NOW-

Revenge sweet,the sea has had,
Time and tide  have looted all-
Moments fine and people tall,
Who walked with me when I was small;

Like the waves, crash the days
Upon the ageless shores of time
How I wish I could find
The trail of feet we left behind
On the day of sun and song
long ago,so long ago...
